In terms of how speech pathologist private practice owners spend their time, the majority spend their time providing individual and group treatment (direct service) with about 20% of their time spent on speech therapy documentation. The median per visit hourly private speech therapy rate was $70.00 per visit. Private pay clients were the most popular, followed by private insurance and Medicaid/Medicare. I appreciate that you mentioned that 59% of speech pathologists work full time. My daughter has some issues with her speech so I'm looking into getting her help. It's nice to know that there's a lot of speech pathologists out there who can fit within my schedule.
